Lauren Ohayon is a yoga and pilates teacher whose classes aim to bring about a greater sense of connectedness to the body and encourage integrity to movement. Using asana (yoga poses) and/or pilates as a tool of exploration, students are invited to examine their own movement tendencies and patterns and open themselves to the many possibilities of movement available that may not be in their consciousness. Many people seek private and group sessions with Lauren as a way to deepen their understanding of movement or to overcome injury or chronic pains. In the private sessions, Lauren may use yoga, pilates and other movement techniques or can use one system exclusively if the client wishes. Please email Lauren for rates and/or questions.
Lauren teaches group classes at the Prospect Park YMCA.
Her schedule is:
Monday 8:30 and 9:15 am (Pilates)
Tuesday 6:30 am (Yoga)
Thursday 6:30 am (Pilates)
Lauren leads 2 retreats every year. One in the summer to the Catskills and one in the winter to Tulum, Mexico. Please see retreats page for more info.
